Dato wins three swimming bronze medals for Team UAAP-PHI

Ateneo de Manila swimmer Hannah Dato scooped three bronze medals for Team UAAP-Philippines.
Tanker Hannah Dato gave Team UAAP-Philippines a reason to smile despite a gloomy Day 2 in their 18th ASEAN University Games campaign in Singapore Tuesday.
The Ateneo de Manila swimmer scooped three bronze medals to put the Filipino student-athletes in the list of winners in the medal table dominated early by Thailand and Indonesia.
Dato, a product of Palarong Pambansa and back-to-back UAAP Most Valuable Player, finished third in the women’s 400m. individual medley, 100m. free style and 200m. butterfly to tally Team UAAP-Philippines’ only medals so far in the biennial sport spectacle for student-athletes in the region.
Two years ago, Dato accounted for three of the country’s 10 gold medals in the Palembang, Indonesia edition. She also hauled two silver medals and a pair of bronze including one from 200m. butterfly.
Thailand leads the race with four gold medals, four silver and two bronze followed by Indonesia (3-5-4), Malaysia (2-2-1), host Singapore (2-0-1) and Philippines.
