Fil-Japanese judoka Kodo Nakano bows out of the Rio Olympics after falling to Italian Matteo Marconcini
Fil-Japanese judoka Kodo Nakano saw his Olympic medal dreams fade as he was outgrappled by Italian Matteo Marconcini, Tuesday evening, Manila time.
The bigger Italian took Nakano down and managed to keep him down for the 20-second count to advance in the Men's 81KG weight division.
Nakano was the 13th and final addition to the Philippine contingent sent to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2016 Summer Games.
With Nakano's exit, only six Pinoys remain, hoping to leave Brazil with an Olympic medal around their necks.
