24-year old Fil-American Raymond Martin took home the top prize in the men’s 400-meter T-52 wheelchair race in the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Tuesday.
This was the fifth gold medal for Martin, who represents Team USA. The Jersey City native won four gold medals during the 2012 London Paralympics.
Martin already claimed silver over the weekend, finishing just less than a second behind teammate Gianfranco Iannota in the men’s 100-meter T-52 wheelchair race.
He’ll get a crack at another gold medal when he competes in the 1500-meter T-52 wheelchair race on Thursday.
