Michael Martinez and coach depart for Pyeongchang

Filipino figure skater Michael Martinez and his coach Slava Zagor left Los Angeles for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea Monday, Los Angeles time.
The 21-year old Martinez was pumped during his stay in the airport, and while he waited to go on board on a Korean Air flight, he started to record for his video blog.
Martinez plans to do as much practice as he can between his arrival in South Korea and his performance, which is happening on Feb. 17.
Before leaving for Pyeongchang, the figure skater and his coach got a chance to be interviewed by ABS-CBN News' Steve Angeles.
One half of the Philippine Olympic delegation to the games thanked his supporters for all the support, and asks the nation to watch his performance as he will try to raise the flag into the medal count.
Zagor meanwhile is optimistic about the two-time Olympian's performance.
"He’ll try to do his best for this moment."
