One more Gilas Pilipinas pool member can’t make the national team’s Spain training camp.
Raymond Almazan is missing the trip together with June Mar Fajardo, Christian Standhardinger, Troy Rosario, RR Pogoy, and Stanley Pringle.
Fajardo, Standhardinger, Rosario, and Pogoy are playing in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals while Pringle is “slightly injured” according to Gilas head coach Yeng Guiao.
In Almazan’s case, his Visa to Spain got denied.
“Nagka-problema daw kasi eh,” Almazan said.
Almazan is pretty bummed not to make the Spain trip. It would have been a great bonding opportunity for the national team as they prepare for the World Cup.
Still, Almazan will just cheer for his squad even while he’s only going to be in Manila.
“Nakaka-lungkot talaga.
