Gilas Pilipinas makes it two in a row in Guadalajara.
The Philippines scored another international friendly win, this time against Ivory Coast, 94-83, early Thursday morning, PHL time.
Gilas played Ivory Coast in Spain as part of the national team’s training camp for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Andray Blatche flirted with a triple-double and dropped 18 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds to lead Gilas in the victory. Paul Lee was the top local this time with 16 points.
Gilas had trouble with the size of Ivory Coast early but a strong second-half effort allowed the Philippines to take the win.
Up next for Gilas now is a pocket tournament in Malaga as they once again face Congo. Winner gets a chance to face the Spain-Ivory Coast victor.
