As practice intensifies for Gilas Pilipinas ahead of the 2019 FIBA World Cup, the trio of June Mar Fajardo, RR Pogoy, and Troy Rosario are trying their best to catch up.

The three, who are crucial for the national team, just rejoined Gilas following a grueling PBA Finals stint.

After a second day of practice, Wednesday being isolated from the main group with two other players as part of their extra work, it seems like everything is starting to come back for Fajardo, Pogoy, and Rosario.

“Yun yung extra work namin trying to help them memorize the plays,” head coach Yeng Guiao said.

“Medyo nawawala pa sila [but] It’s a little better,” he added.

With Gilas taking on Australia’s Adelaide 36ers Friday for the first of two tune-up games, Guiao says the three, together with the entire group, should be a lot smoother working together by then.

“Siguro by tomorrow saulado na nila yan, memorize na yan,”  Guiao said.

“So they can join the regular practices. We need to isolate them a little bit more and give them extra time para makahabol. Very willing naman sila gumawa ng extra work,” Coach Yeng added.
