Isaac Go is one of eight amateur standouts to be included in the 24-man pool of Gilas Pilipinas set to see action in the oncoming 2019 SEA Games.

Of course, Ateneo de Manila University's sweet-shooting big man is nothing but thrilled to be part of a list that also has fellow Blue Eagle Thirdy Ravena, the University of the Philippines' Juan Gomez de Liano, Kobe Paras, and Ricci Rivero, De La Salle University's Justine Baltazar, National University's Dave Ildefonso, and 7-foot-2, 17-year-old Kai Sotto..

"It would be an honor to don the blue and white for the country," he said. "… Parang Ateneo lang."

After chuckling at the fact that his alma mater just so happens to have the same colors of his homeland, Go said representing the Philippines would mean much to him personally. As he put it, "Not everybody gets a chance to do this so I'm just gonna make the most out of this experience."

This isn't the first time that the 6-foot-7, 22-year-old has been included in a pool for the national basketball team as he was also part of the 23 for 23.

And for him, it would be a privilege to keep marching forward on that path. "This is the continuation of 23 of 23, I think so. It's a new mix of guys lang, but it's a continuity of the program just with more youth," he said.
