MANILA — Gilas women keep passing difficult tests in 3x3 basketball of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

The Philippines was challenged by Vietnam Monday at the Filoil Flying V Center here before rallying to score a 21-14 victory, inching closer to that coveted gold medal.

With 2:40 to go, the game was tied at 14 as the Filipinas had trouble dealing with Vietnam's shooting.

But behind Afril Bernardino, Gilas was able to go on a fiery 7-0 run to end the game and improve to 4-0 for the tournament.

Bernardino first hit a trey to break the 14-all tie and the Gilas women proceeded to just overwhelm the Vietnamese with slashing and timely passing.

The Philippines wrap up preliminary play against Thailand before starting the medal rounds.
