MANILA — Gilas Pilipinas is simply rolling right now in 3x3 basketball of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

Gilas caught fire late to blow past Malaysia Monday at the Filoil Flying V Center here, taking a 21-13 victory in preliminary play.

After a perfect Day 1, Gilas added to its list of wins to continue to lead the standings with a 5-0 record.

Mo Tautuaa feasted inside, scoring a team-high eight points.

Mo’s string of points allowed Gilas to pull away from Malaysia after trailing early.

CJ Perez also started slow but picked up scoring alongside Tautuaa. CJ connected on two treys on his way to six points.

Chris Newsome added four points for the Philippines and Day 1 star Jason Perkins was good for three points in the win against the Malaysians.
