MANILA — Five-time PBA Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo for sure made his presence felt Friday in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
In just 15 minutes, Fajardo dominated for Gilas, finishing with a casual 23 points and 12 rebounds.
June Mar was at the front as the Philippines followed up a 52-point win against Singapore with a 41-point drubbing of Vietnam.
Aggressive kami sa game na to kasi tinambakan nila kalaban nila sa first and second game nila,” Fajardo said.
“So sabi ni coach, ito yung isa sa malakas na team dito, ni-remind kami na wag maging kampante,” he added.
With such strong numbers in just limited minutes, June Mar says it was just going with fundamentals and letting the offense come to him.
Oh, and it helps that he’s 6’10” and is actually pretty good at what he does.
