MANILA — Gilas Pilipinas extends its dominance in men's basketball at the Southeast Asian Games.
The Philippines was hardly shaken by a foul-plagued start, going to work and dominating Thailand, 115-81, in the gold medal game of the 2019 SEA Games Tuesday at the MOA Arena.
Gilas was in the penalty three minutes in, but that didn’t stop the national team from wearing down a game Thailand side.
In the end, the Philippines used yet another strong third quarter to break the game wide open, unleashing a barrage of three-point shots to outscore Thailand, 40-15, to start the second half.
Gilas then cruised to the country’s 13th straight gold medal in SEA Games basketball.
