Gilas Pilipinas' debut in the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers will have to wait a little bit.

Due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Philippines home game against Thailand on Feb. 20 at the Araneta Coliseum has been postponed and moved to a later date.

Also postponed is the Japan-China game on Feb. 21 and the China-Malaysia game on Feb. 24.

While Gilas' home game against Thailand has been postponed, the national team's road outing against Indonesia on Feb. 23 is still ago barring any further updates.

The novel coronavirus outbreak has also been the reason for the postponed games in the UAAP and the NCAA, as well as the opening of the PBA's 45th season.
