Golfer Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines has qualified for the US Open.
Per Boyet J. Sison of ANC:
the PHL's Miguel Tabuena just qualified for the US Open! He shot 9 under 63 and shot 7 under 29 on the front nine.— Boyet J. Sison (@BoyetJSison) June 7, 2016
The 21-year-old Tabuena led six qualifiers for the US Open next week after a brilliant performance in the sectional qualifier at Daly City, California.
”I told myself that Lake Merced would be the easier course and I needed to go low there, which I did,” Tabuena said per James Raia. “I am just really happy with my rounds. I am still in shock. This will be my first major and I just can't wait to have fun next week.”
Tabuena, who has been a pro since he was 16, has nine professional wins including the 2015 Philippine Open on the Asian Tour.
