"I just have to play my game and do my best," - Park Sung-Hyun
Top-ranked South Korean golfer and LPGA No.1-ranked Park Sung-Hyun may on the top of the food chain when it comes to women's golf, but she isn't looking past the competition in the upcoming The Country Club Ladies Invitational on March 6-8th at The Country Club in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Park, who recently clinched a number-one ranking, is coming off a dominant showing at the HSBC Women's Championships in Singapore, and could be easily considered as the favorite. Park herself, however, isn't expecting a walk in the park as she joins the $100,000 golf tournament.
"I don't think it will be an easy time this week," Park said in response to whether she feels she would breeze through the competition.
"I just have to play my game and do my best," she added.
Park headlines a star-studded cast of golfers including Filipina LPGA veteran Dottie Ardinas and highly-touted Filipina amateuer and Asian Games gold medalist Yuka Saso, as well as Princess Superal and Pauline del Rosario.
Stars from Taiwan, Korea, and Thailand are also expected to grace the three-day tournament.
