So while (presumably) the whole world was tuned in to last weekend's mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, another former dominant world champion was elsewhere, getting hitched.
That former world champion was none other than Ronda Rousey.
Rousey, a former Olympic bronze medalist in judo and the first ever female UFC champion, married fellow mixed martial artist, UFC heavyweight contender Travis Browne in Hawaii.
"Hanai" Hawaiian. It loosely means adopted, with or without legal papers. Today most use people use it as a way to refer to someone who is so close to you, they're family, even without a blood connection... This dude is my Hanai brother. Thanks @travisbrownemma for everything. Congrats! 🙏🏼 #browsey2017

The 30-year old Rousey has been on the shelf since December of 2016, after losing to reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. Rousey was on fire in the start of her career, winning her first twelve professional fights and establishing herself as one of the most dominant champions in MMA history.
Her momentum came to a screeching halt however when she ran into Holly Holm, losing via knockout in 2015, before suffering the same fate against Nunes.
While Rousey has not yet officially retired, many believe that the former UFC bantamweight queen is done with her MMA career.
Congratulations to Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne!
