Filipino-American former boxing world champion Ana 'The Hurricane' Julaton is set to enter the mixed martial arts cage once again, as she's set to make her Bellator MMA debut at Bellator 185 on October 15th.
Julaton, 37, made a name for herself in the world of boxing, capturing the WBO female super bantamweight championship and the IBA female super bantamweight championships just two years after her professional debut in 2007.
In 2014, Julaton took a break from boxing to try her luck in mixed martial arts, signing with Asian promotion ONE Championship and amassed a 2-2 professional record, before stepping back into the boxing ring back in 2015.
Now, the California-based fighter begins a new chapter in her MMA career as she signs with North American promotion Bellator MMA.
Her first assignment will be against Lisa Blaine.
According to Yahoo's Kevin Iole, Julaton's contract with Bellator MMA will allow her to compete in both MMA and boxing.
Julaton joins teammate and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in the Bellator ranks.
