Pasay stays spotless even as Zambo enters MPBL win column

Pasay still stands atop the leaderboard of the MPBL Lakan Cup following a thrilling 76-75 overtime triumph over home team Muntinlupa, Saturday at the City Sports Complex.

Jan Jamon showed the way with 15 points to go along with nine rebounds and three assists while Don Reverente punished his former team with a 10-marker, 15-board double-double on top of four assists.

Axel Inigo also added 13 points and six rebounds to help the Voyagers move forward to a 2-0 standing.

The Cagers, meanwhile, remained winless in two games even after a 22-point, nine-rebound outing from Reggie Boy Basibas.

In the other game, Zamboanga made quick work of Pasig, 82-69, to notch its first mark on the win column.

Med Salim topped the scoring column with 16 points while Harold Arboleda kept doing it all with 11 markers, 16 rebounds, and three assists as Zambo got a mighty rebound from their season-opening loss.

On the other hand, the Realtors dropped their tournament opener despite impressive league debuts from Jeric Teng who had 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists as well as Josan Nimes who had 12 markers, four boards, and two dimes of his own.
