Teng-led Pasig barges into MPBL win column; Steel stay spotless

Jeric Teng did it all for Pasig in their breakthrough win in the MPBL Lakan Cup, coming at the expense of Caloocan, 89-87, Wednesday at Valenzuela Astrodome.
Teng, the pride of University of Sto. Tomas who most recently saw action for NorthPort, waxed hot with 24 points on top of seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocks.
Josan Nimes and Jeric Serrano flanked with 16 and 15 markers, respectively, as the Realtors held on for the bounce back win following a season-opening loss.
Almond Vosotros showed the way for the Supremos, still winless in three games, with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Meanwhile, Basilan sustained its strong start to the season with an 83-74 victory versus Pampanga.
Jerald Bautista topped the scoring column with 18 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists while Arvie Bringas posted an 11-marker, 11-board double-double.
The backcourt of Gab Dagangon and Leo Gabo also did their part in the Steel's back-to-back wins as the former finished with 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals and the latter ended with 12 markers, seven dimes, and three boards.
For the 1-2 Lanterns, Levi Hernandez was at the vanguard with 25 points.
