NEW YORK - New Orleans Pelicans forward DeMarcus Cousins has been fined $25,000 for directing inappropriate language towards a fan, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 0:50 remaining in the 4th quarter of the Pelicans’ 103-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, Oct. 18 (Thursday, Oct. 19, PHL time) at FedEx Forum. The Technical Foul which was assessed to Cousins as part of the incident has been rescinded.
