2017 NBA Finals named most Tweeted sports event in the PHI

The Golden State Warriors-Cleveland Cavaliers rivalry still has Filipinos hooked on its ongoing saga.

The third straight NBA Finals clash of the Stephen Curry-led Warriors and the LeBron James-powered Cleveland Cavaliers back in June was the Most Tweeted Sports Hashtag this 2017, Twitter Philippines revealed.

In five games, Dub Nation was able to dismantle the Cavs to reclaim the title and reassert their dominance in the league.

Second on the list was the recently-concluded UAAP Cheerdance Competition, which saw an almost completely new set of podium finishers in Adamson, UST, and UE.

The pleasant surprise, and the general phenomenon that is the Cheerdance Competition was enough to keep Pinoys glued to their phones.

Rounding out the top five list is #PacquiaoHorn (3), Ateneo de Manila's battlecry #OBF (4), and the #UAAPSeason80 hashtag (5).

Gilas Pilipinas makes two appearances at number 6 and 10, with #LabanPilipinas and #GilasPilipinas respectively.

Completing the list is #GoldAndGloryAteneo (7), #Animo (8), #PBAFinals (9).
