Morris brothers fined for separate incidents

NEW YORK – Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris has been fined $15,000 for public criticism of the officiating, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
Morris made his comments to the media following the Celtics’ 116-92 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on April 20 (April 21, PHL time) at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Meanwhile, Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris has been fined $25,000 for attempting to escalate an altercation and pushing a game official, it was also announced today by VanDeWeghe.
The incident occurred with 9:33 remaining in the first quarter of the Wizards’ 122-103 win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday, April 20 (Saturday, April 21, PHL time) at Capital One Arena.
