Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal was so inspired by watching Stephen Curry knock down an NBA Finals record nine three-pointers in Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Finals that he couldn't help but test his shooting range in the gym.
In a video that he posted on Twitter, Shaq can be seen doing his normal post-up work, but mixed in with shots of him knocking down several three-point bombs.
The video was captioned, "Nice work @StephenCurry30 on getting in the #nbafinals record books! You inspired me to add a new look to my already dominant game."
The 46-year-old probably won't be checking into any NBA games as a player anymore, but he'd be crazy difficult to stop at any local pickup game he decides to join.
Of course, this isn't the first time Shaq has tried to adopt the role of a modern floor-spacing big man. Back in June of last year, a video clip of O'Neal canning three-pointers surfaced online. A common thread in both of these? The OG Superman dubbing himself "Black Steph Curry."
And for the record, Shaq has hit a grand total of one three-pointer in his NBA career. He nailed his solitary long-distance connection with the Orlando Magic, as part of a 121-91 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks, on February 16, 1996. He missed all of his 21 other tries from beyond the arc.
