Phoenix Suns select Deandre Ayton with #1 overall pick

The Phoenix Suns have chosen Deandre Ayton with the first overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft, Friday (PHL time) at the Barclays Center in New York.
The Suns had the worst overall record in the 2017-18 NBA season, finishing with 21 wins and 61 losses. They won the first pick at the 2018 NBA Draft Lottery, held on May 16, 2018 (PHL time).
Ayton is a 7'1" forward from the Bahamas. He played one season for the Arizona Wildcats in the NCAA, where he averaged 20.1 points (61.2 FG%), 11.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks.
It's the first-ever time in Suns franchise history that they drafted with the top pick.
