NBA legend Tim Hardaway came to San Juan to talk about the NCAA, life, hoops, and the upcoming NBA 3X Philippines event.
NBA legend Tim Hardaway just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Filipino basketball firsthand.
In his second visit to the Philippines, the shifty point guard from the Run TMC-era Golden State Warriors and Pat Riley's gritty Miami Heat squads dropped by the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan to catch the NCAA Season 94 men's basketball match between the Perpetual Help Altas and the College of St. Benilde Blazers.
The two squads were fighting for position in the upper echelon in the NCAA's standings, and things got even more heated when the players saw the five-time NBA All-Star calling the game from the stands.
Benilde eventually took down Perpetual Help, 84-77 in a riveting match that had Hardaway buzzing with excitement.
Along with Hardaway, the Detroit Pistons Extreme Team team put on a show for the NCAA fans in attendance before the San Beda-Arellano clash.
Hardaway Sr. and Boston Celtics veteran and NBA Champion Brian Scalabrine are in town for the NBA 3X Philippines 2018, which happens at the Mall of Asia Music Hall from Saturday, August 25 to Sunday, August 26.
The Celebrity Division of the three-on-three basketball tournament will take place on August 25th starting at 1:00 PM featuring ABS-CBN Sports' own Anton Roxas and Vince Velasco leading their team against other celebrity ballers.
