Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson will not play in Game 3 of the 2019 NBA Finals, due to his hamstring injury.
Thompson was hurt during the fourth quarter of Game 2. He had previously appeared in 120 straight postseason outings.
Veteran point guard Shaun Livingston will start, along with Stephen Curry, in Thompson's place.

Thompson in this postseason is averaging 19.5 points on 44.0% shooting from the field, 41.1% on three's, with 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He is also one of the Warriors' top options to guard Raptors star Kawhi Leonard.
With Thompson out, the Warriors are severely short-handed as they continue their title defense at home at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. The Splash Brother joins Kevin Durant and Kevon Looney on the shelf.
