SMB’s Alapag honored to rep country in NBA Summer League with Kings

Jimmy Alapag is going all in on this whole coaching thing.
Alapag currently serves as head coach of San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas in the ABL and is also an assistant for San Miguel Beer in the PBA.

Alapag is set to join the staff of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings for the 2019 Summer League in Las Vegas.
“As a coach, it’s important to continue to grow and learn,” Alapag said of his golden opportunity in an Instagram post.
Coach Jimmy got the invite from Hall of Famer Vlade Divac, who is Sacramento’s President of Basketball Operations as well as the Chairman of the FIBA Players’ Commission in which Alapag is a part of.
The two got in touch and Alapag took the offer easily.
“So thankful to Vlade Divac and the Sacramento Kings to join their Summer League staff this year,” Alapag said.
“Looking forward to the experience [and] always an honor to represent Philippine basketball,” he added.
