The Grizzlies do not intend to buy out Andre Iguodala's contract this summer and are instead exploring trade options, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. The Rockets and Mavericks are among the teams interested in the former Finals MVP, per MacMahon.
Iguodala was recently part of a reported three-team, sign-and-trade deal that ended with Golden State shipping him to Memphis and landing All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell from Brooklyn in return. The 35-year-old forward has one year and $17.2 million left on his contract.
The Grizzlies, who have been accumulating draft capital and trade assets this offseason, would prefer to get something in return for Iguodala, instead of simply buying out his deal.
