Memphis Grizzlies rookie forward Brandon Clarke has been named 2019 NBA Summer League MVP, the league announced, Tuesday (PHL time).
The 21st overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft missed the early part of the Las Vegas tournament as he waited for a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder to become official, but he put up 14.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in five games, leading Memphis to the title game.
Joining Clarke in the NBA Summer League First Team are Nickeil Alexander-Walker of the New Orleans Pelicans, Kendrick Nunn of the Miami Heat, Jarrett Allen of the Brooklyn Nets, and Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks.
The NBA Summer League Second Team is comprised of Chris Boucher of the Toronto Raptors, Rui Hachimura of the Washington Wizards, Jaxson Hayes of the New Orleans Pelicans, Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Lonnie Walker IV of the San Antonio Spurs.
The Grizzlies take on the Minnesota Timberwolves later today for the 2019 Summer League title.
