Two more guards have withdrawn from the Team USA training camp, removing themselves from consideration to be part of the roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, per reports.
Eric Gordon of the Houston Rockets, per The Athletic's Shams Charania, and CJ McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes, will not take part in the international competition, which will run from August 31 to September 15 in China.

The duo will join the ranks of Rockets superstar James Harden and new LA Laker Anthony Davis, who previously opted to concentrate on the upcoming 2019-2020 NBA season instead.
New Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich still has the likes of Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, Kyle Lowry, Kemba Walker, and Donovan Mitchell to work with in the backcourt.
Also still in the pool are Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Tobias Harris, Kevin Love, Khris Middleton, Myles Turner, Kyle Kuzma, Brook Lopez, Paul Millsap, Jayson Tatum, and PJ Tucker.
Team USA is also weighing the possibility of adding 2019 number one overall pick Zion Williamson to the pool.
The United States is the back-to-back defending tournament champions.
