We might just see some current NBA players bring that Mamba Mentality back to the court when the 2019-20 season tips off.
Kobe Bryant and his Mamba Sports Academy recently hosted several top-flight NBA players at the Mamba Sports Invitational, which was described as "a multi-day performance and basketball camp," overseen by Kobe Bryant himself.
Recently we hosted the Mamba Sports Invitational, a multi-day performance and basketball camp for some of the best players in the NBA. This video shows some of the gym work that the guys put in with our world-class pool of trainers. More to come!— Mamba Sports Academy (@MambaSportsHQ) September 25, 2019
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the invitation-only event took place last August, with participants doing "strength training, on-court training, and video work with Kobe, noted Lakers skills coach Phil Handy, and more."
Stein says some of the participants included Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, De'Aaron Fox, Jamal Murray, Isaiah Thomas, John Collins, Buddy Hield, Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Jordan Clarkson.
