Undrafted Fil-Am guard Sedrick Barefield scored five points off the bench for the Oklahoma City Blue in his NBA G League debut, Sunday (PHL time).
The Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, beat the South Bay Lakers 120-114 at the UCLA Health Training Center in front of a crowd of nearly 700 people.
Barefield logged 13 minutes of action, shooting 2-of-5 from the floor, including 1-of-3 from deep. He also added a rebound, and two assists, against two turnovers.
Luguentz Dort, on a two-way contract with the Thunder and the Blue, led his side with 35 markers, converting a crisp 12-of-19 shots. He also had five boards, and five assists in a dominant effort. The Lakers meanwhile got 22 points from Gary Payton II.
Barefield appeared in two games for the Atlanta Hawks in the Las Vegas Summer League, norming 6.0 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.5 assists. The Thunder signed him to a training camp deal, then waived him, paving the way for him to join the Blue.
