SHOULDERING THE PAIN. San Beda is still awaiting news about Baser Amer's re-injured shoulder.

San Beda College court general Baser Amer re-aggravated his right shoulder injury in the second quarter of the Red Lions' matchup against archrivals Colegio de San Juan de Letran on Thursday at the San Juan Arena.

Amer hurt his shoulder while he was bringing up the ball against the Knights' killer full-court press. The fifth-year guard first injured his shoulder during the PBA D-League Finals three weeks ago.

The Red Lions' training staff attended to Amer in the locker room before bringing him to nearby Cardinal Santos hospital.

Asked about the status of his court general, head coach Jamike Jarin said, "We still don't know for sure. He's still being checked in the hospital. Right now, it's not looking good."
