University of Perpetual Help head coach Aric Del Rosario has nothing but praise for his main gunners Earl Scottie Thompson and Nigerian import Bright Akuetie.

Not just for the production that the duo deliver every game day to keep the Altas’ record a perfect 4-0, but also for the character that they show inside the court.

Dinadala niya ang team,” said the 75-year-old mentor.

Standing 6-foot-8, Akhuetie, to Del Rosario could dish out monster numbers, but what he likes about his big man is his gentle demeanor.

“Si Bright naman mabait din siyang player,” said the fourth year Altas coach.

Reigning Most Valuable Player Thompson registered his second triple-double of the season with 21 points in 8-of-17 field goal shooting, 15 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the Altas to its fourth straight win in as many outings against the San Sebastian Stags, 84-70.

Akhuetie, for his part, had 20 point and 23 rebounds with three assists and a pair of blocks for Perpetual.

“We actually played like what we practiced, to come out and win,” said the gentle giant.

The Altas may have racked up four straight wins but the battle is far from over as Perpetual takes on the Letran Knights on July 23.

And expect the two to be there leading the way for Del Rosario and the Las Pinas-based squad.
