Was Ayo’s absence the reason for Letran’s first loss?
SEEKING ANSWERS. Mark Cruz and Letran's shots weren't falling in the fourth quarter of their upset at the hands of EAC.

Some call it a case of bad luck on a really bad day, but Mark Cruz, Rey Nambatac, and Colegio de San Juan de Letran weren’t going to make any excuses for dropping their first game of the season to Emilio Aguinaldo College.

No, not even the absence of impressive first-year head coach Aldin Ayo who was serving a one-game suspension. As Cruz put it, “Kahit wala physical presence ni coach, sa puso namin, dala-dala pa rin namin yung mga turo niya at gusto niyang mangyari. We have one system lang naman.

After having beaten the bigger and more competitive teams, it was a certainly a shocker that the then-undefeated Knights were felled by the cellar-dwelling Generals. However, Nambatac and Cruz both gave all the credit to their conquerors and said that bad luck did not have anything to do with the result of the game.

Hindi ako naniniwala sa malas e. Talagang nakita namang mas sinipagan nila yung laro,” Rey shared.
