SALUDO HENERAL! Jorem Morada capped off EAC's victorious week with the Player of the Week award.
Emilio Aguinaldo College's spitfire guard Remy Morada isn't going to win the MVP trophy anytime now. But for just one special day, he looked and played like one.
It came last Friday when Morada's heroics lifted the Generals to a shock 83-69 win over a Letran team that none could beat entering their Season 91 NCAA elimination round duel at The Arena in San Juan City.
After averaging just a paltry 3.80 points, 2.40 rebounds and 1.80 assists entering the Letran game, Morada's guns went ablaze firing his season-high 18 points he lighted by five booming triples.
Morada shone the brightest in the fourth quarter when he unleashed a 12-point barrage he highlighted a clutch four-point play that practically dashed the Knights' hopes of a first round sweep.
He spiked his effort with 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal to help EAC nail a second straight win after starting the season with five losses in row.
Morada also edged San Beda's Arthur dela Cruz for the ACCEL Quantum 3XVI-NCAA Press Corps Player of the Week award.
What made the moment more special was Morada's effort came exactly on a day his family was observing the first death anniversary of his late mother, Lilanie.
"This game is for her," said Morada
