EAC eyes another victim in Perpetual
SHOCKTROOPERS. EAC is looking to keep the shockers coming.

4:00 PM – Perpetual vs EAC

Nearing the end of the first round of the NCAA 91 Men's Basketball Tournament, it's Emilio Aguinaldo College who's on a winning streak and not University of Perpetual Help.

The Generals seek to keep the shockers coming and extend their run to three while the Altas seek to start another streak of their own on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena.

After starting the season on a five-game losing skid, EAC has claimed back-to-back wins – the most recent of which was a monumental upset of the erstwhile undefeated league-leaders. The Generals look to use the same winning formula of Hamadou Laminou and Sidney Onwubere taking care of the inside and Francis Munsayac and Jorem Morada dropping bombs.

Unlike Letan and CSB, however, 6-2 Perpetual boasts of two big men in Bright Akhuetie and Prince Eze who are more than capable of holding down the interior while reigning MVP Scottie Thompson runs the entire show.

Meanwhile at 2:00 PM, Mapua Institute of Technology and Jose Rizal University both try  to break out of the fourth-place logjam at 4-3.

The Cardinals are on a three-game winning streak courtesy of the powerful play of Allwell Oraeme and the steady playmaking of Josan Nimes. However, the season hosts will be running into the Heavy Bombers’ league-best defense and emerging Teytey Teodoro at the other end.
