FALL BACK AND REGROUP. Letran is looking to re-impose its "magulo basketball" after being shockingly stymied the last time around.
Games on Friday at the San Juan Arena
2:00 PM – Mapua vs Letran
4:00 PM – Arellano vs CSB
While Colegio de San Juan de Letran is perfect no more, Mapua Institute of Technology is also no longer on a winning streak in the 91st Season of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The Knights and the Cardinals both seek to regain the momentum they lost when they clash on Friday at the San Juan Arena.
The original Battle of Intramuros recommences at 2:00 PM.
Lowly Emilio Aguinaldo College put some order into Aldin Ayo’s “magulo basketball” and became the one in Letran’s 7-1 record. After serving a one-game suspension, however, Ayo will be back to again disrupt the recently-established order by making certain to re-energize Mark Cruz, Rey Nambatac, and Kevin Racal.
Fire was also what Mapua lost when they saw their three-win run get halted by after allowing Jose Rizal University to come back up from 18 points down. With top gunner Josan Nimes and court general CJ Isit hobbled by back and elbow injuries, respectively, coach Atoy Co will need to motivate his other guys to carry on the fight.
Meanwhile, the Arellano University Chiefs also seek a rebound win when they meet the College of St. Benilde Blazers at 4:00 PM.
Jiovani Jalalon was contained the last time around and the Chiefs never got going to fall to 4-3 while the 2-6 Blazers were handily defeated in their most recent outing.
