MAKE IT RAIN. The game may not be on the line, but Mark Cruz will be out to take another victory for Letran in the NCAA All-Star Three-Point Shootout.
Mark Cruz shoots to add another victory to Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s already stellar 91st Season in the Men’s Basketball Tournament when he tries to take away the Three-Point Shootout crown from College of St. Benilde’s Travis Jonson.
Cruz and Jonson – along with Wilson Baltazar (Lyceum of the Philippines University), Exy Biteng (Mapua Institute of Technology), Ryan Costelo (San Sebastian College-Recoletos), Gerald Dizon (University of Perpetual Help), Jozhua General (Emilio Aguinaldo College), Paolo Pontejos (Jose Rizal University), AC Soberano (San Beda College), and Ken Zamora (Arellano University) – will be the competitors in this year’s Three-Point Shootout to be held on Friday at the San Juan Arena.
After the rain of triples, the oldest collegiate league in the country is also set to name a new Slam Dunk king with last year’s champion Arnauld Noah from San Beda unable to defend his crown.
Raring to rattle some rims in this year’s contest will be JRU’s Kim Aurin, San Sebastian’s Allen Bulanadi, Lyceum’s Jebb Bulawan, Perpetual’s Prince Eze, EAC’s Laminou Hamadou, CSB’s Mustapha Haruna, Arellano’s Dioncee Holts, Mapua’s Allwell Oraeme, Letran’s Rey Publico, and San Beda’s Michole Sorela.
Following the Slam Dunk Contest, this season’s Ms. NCAA will also be crowned.
