UNLUCKY BREAKS. LPU will be without two of its top scorers as it tries to snap a three-game losing skid.

Lyceum of the Philippines University is set to have an even tougher time snapping its three-game losing skid.

The NCAA confirmed that the Pirates’ second-leading scorer Shaq Alanes will have to serve out an automatic one-game suspension after incurring two unsportsmanlike fouls and getting thrown out in their previous outing.

League commissioner Bai Cristobal confirmed the development to ABS-CBN Sports.

Reacting to his second-leading scorer’s suspension, head coach Topex Robinson told ABS-CBN Sports, “We will still compete with what we have. No excuses.”

Alanes will join teammate Joseph Gabayni, who is serving his own four-game suspension, in street clothes when LPU takes on Mapua on Friday.
