GETTING TO KNOW YOU. An alleged San Beda fan got into it with Letran's main man.
When the final buzzer sounded on Tuesday at the MOA Arena, San Beda College successfully evened their best-of-three series against Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
All combatants were ready to call it a day and just gear up for the pivotal Game Three two days from now, but not before Mark Cruz found himself in the middle of a sea of blue and red.
In the dying seconds of Game Two, a spectator allegedly shouted sweet nothings at “Ant-man.” The Knights’ lead guard retaliated by trying to head towards the spectator, but was fortunately stopped and pushed back by both teammates and opponents.
According to Letran coach Aldin Ayo, who himself rushed onto the floor to calm down Cruz, the spectator was apparently a Red Lion fan who got carried away in celebrating his team’s win. “Talagang inawat ko kasi baka magkagulo pa,” Ayo told reporters post-game.
He quickly added, “Baka may sanctions pa kasi. We still have Game Three.”
For his part, “Ant-man” refused to comment on the incident and said everyone should just forget about it and move on.
