Jose Rizal University collected two gold medals after a dry start in the 91st NCAA athletics competition.

Junel Gabotia booked the bronze in the 5000m, finishing behind Arellano U's Immuel Camino and Kurt Jomar Lamparas.
Jose Rizal coach Jojo Posadas he expects a tough competition this year even before the meet started.
"I've lost many of my gold medalists so I really expected it to be really tough," said Posadas in Filipino. "But we're still going all out to win that sixth straight track and field crowd and make Jose Rizal proud."
Lyceum of the Philippines U's Ronnie Maglipay took the triple jump gold with a 15.23-meter leap, taking over the event national team mainstay and former Jose Rizal standout Harry Diones dominated for five straight seasons.
Mapua's Raymund Alferos set a new record meet in 400m by clocking 48.71 seconds.
