Arellano, San Sebastian fight over winning streak
ROADBLOCK. Jiovani Jalalon has to go through multi-titled mentor Egay Macaraya if he is to give Arellano a winning streak to start the season.

Games on Friday at the San Juan Arena

12:00 PM – Arellano vs San Sebastian

2:00 PM – CSB vs Letran

4:00 PM – JRU vs Perpetual

Jiovani Jalalon and Arellano University want nothing but to keep moving forward and keep proving themselves as championship contenders in the NCAA 92 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Jalalon and his Chiefs get more time to shine on Friday at the San Juan Arena when they take the floor against a San Sebastian College-Recoletos side which has been reinvigorated by the arrival of multi-titled mentor Egay Macaraya.

Macaraya’s wards test the mettle of the fancied favorites in the tournament at 12:00 PM. All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/ncaa.

Arellano’s court general turned into a scoring assassin to start the season, scoring 25 points in their first win. Already showcasing his scoring chops, expect Jalalon to remind everybody how great of a playmaker – perhaps even the greatest in college today – he is and once more show the way for his squad.

Without a doubt, however, Macaraya has prepared several traps to try and slow down “The Bus Driver.” The Golden Stags will once again use team effort on both ends to make it happen as they shoot for back-to-back wins to start the season – which Recto hasn’t experienced in a long while.

Meanwhile, at 2:00 PM, defending champion Colegio de San Juan de Letran looks to get going with a winning streak when they take on College of St. Benilde who are looking to just get win number one.

Also seeking to make it into the win column are Jose Rizal University and University of Perpetual Help who face off at 4:00 PM.
