STATUS UPDATE. Preseason favorite Arellano has not gotten off to the best start in the NCAA 92 Men's Basketball Tournament.
Games on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena
12:00 PM – Arellano vs EAC
2:00 PM – San Sebastian vs LPU
4:00 PM – Perpetual vs CSB
“The Bus Driver” and his Arellano University bus ran into another roadblock in the 92nd Season of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Now with two losses in the last three games, the Chiefs need to make their way back up onto the level of championship contenders and their climb begins against very competitive Emilio Aguinaldo College on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena.
The Generals will go out to shock the world at 12:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/ncaa.
The fancied favorites to go all the way in the preseason, Arellano stands at 4-2 – dropping games to the defending champions and the runners-up. The preseason frontrunner for MVP, Jiovani Jalalon has not played up to his high standards in the past three games.
Looking to take full advantage of their struggles is EAC who have only one win through five games, but have competed in all but one of their assignments. After all, the frontline of Hamadou Laminou and Sidney Onwubere is a tough obstacle for just about anyone, including “The Bus Driver.”
In other games, University of Perpetual Help seeks to build on their breakthrough win against the defending champions with another one against College of St. Benilde at 4:00 PM while Lyceum of the Philippines University eyes to extend their win run to three at the expense of San Sebastian College-Recoletos at 2:00 PM.
