Sidney Onwubere leads EAC to a win to end their first round.
For sure, the Generals were not crying this time around.
Emilio Aguinaldo College registered its most convincing win in the NCAA Season 92 men's basketball tournament after dominating a hapless CSB side, 76-56, at the Filoil Arena Thursday.
The Generals turned the heat up in he fourth behind the sensational shooting of Francis Munsayac and Raymund Pascua to build a lead as much as 25, 72-47.
EAC got its third win against six defeats and put themselves half a game behind Lyceum and a full game back of JRU in the 6-8 spots as the first round nears its end.
After a sorry loss to Perpetual last Tuesday marked by some bad shooting, head coach Ariel Sison was happy the Generals finally got some shots to drop to bounce back.
"That's what we worked out. After that nightmare we worked on our shooting and I'm glad kahit papaano may na-shoot ngayon," Sison said.
Overall, EAC shot 43.3 percent from the field including 37 percent from deep.
After a close first quarter, the Generals slowly pulled away before dropping that big run in the fourth that completely took the fight out of the Blazers.
Sidney Onwubere led the Generals with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while Hamadou Laminou served as the anchor in the middle, finishing with 14 markers and five blocks.
Carlo Young led the fight for the Blazers with 14 points and Yankee Haruna added 13.
CSB remains as the lone team in the NCAA with no wins so far as the Blazers ended their first round with a 0-9 record.
