All was not well for Oraeme against stingy Altas defense

Bright Akhuetie took it upon himself to stop MVP Allwell Oraeme. He did a good job.
Reigning NCAA Most Valuable Player Allwell Oraeme is so dominant that 20-20 games have become the norm every time he steps foot on the floor for the Mapua Cardinals.
But against the red-hot Perpetual Help Altas, the sophomore big man was nowhere close to a 20-20 game.
You can't even reach the number 20 if you add his points and rebounds.
The reigning MVP only had 6 points and 13 rebounds against the Altas and the reason behind was Perpetual actually made a conscious effort to stop him.
"Yung sa gameplan namin, adjustment is to stop Oraeme," Gab Dagangon said.
"Ayun na-stop namin, nagbunga kaya panalo kami," he added.
The usually high-scoring Bright Akhuetie also took it upon himself to contain his fellow reinforcement.
"I specifically came out here today to play D on him," Bright said of Oraeme.
The gameplan was for the reigning MVP though as Perpetual has enough trust in its team defense against other imports.
"No. Just for this game," he added.
