San Beda goes for Round 1 sweep
PERFECTION. San Beda needs just one more win to complete a sweep of the first round.

Games on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena

2:00 PM – JRU vs San Beda

4:00 PM – Letran vs Mapua

San Beda College is one win away from coming out unscathed in the first round gauntlet of the NCAA 92 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Standing in the Red Lions’ march towards perfection on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena is Jose Rizal University who are, without a doubt, the most disappointing team in the tournament thus far.

The Heavy Bombers’ fortunes can change just like that, however, when they try to put the first blemish on San Beda’s slate at 2:00 PM. All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/ncaa.

Davon Potts has shot the Lions to the top of the leaderboard and remains confident as he gets into a shootout with JRU’s “Blast Brothers” Teytey Teodoro and Paolo Pontejos. Working in the former’s favor is his team’s enviable depth with Donald Tankoua and Javee Mocon flanking him.

Meanwhile, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Mapua Institute of Technology are both looking to return to their winning form in the season’s first Battle of Intramuros commencing at 4:00 PM.

The defending champion Knights are coming off an upset at the hands of Lyceum of the Philippines University and Rey Nambatac is nothing but determined to bring then back on track. The same goes for Allwell Oraeme and the Cardinals who only want to move forward from back-to-back losses.
