Jalalon the lone local in NCAA Mythical Team

FIRST FIVE. Four foreign student-athletes flank Jiovani Jalalon as the top five performers in the tournament.
Jiovani Jalalon is widely-regarded as the best collegiate guard in the country – and now, he has yet another feather in his cap to prove it.
Arellano University’s court general is a Mythical selection for the second straight season on the strength of per game counts of 21 points, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 steals.
Jalalon joins back-to-back MVP Allwell Oraeme of Mapua Institute of Technology, Bright Akhuetie of University of Perpetual Help, Hamadou Laminou of Emilio Aguinaldo College, and Donald Tankoua of San Beda College as the top five performers in the 92nd Season of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The 24-year-old is the only Filipino in the Mythical Team and is flanked by a pair of Nigerians in Oraeme and Akhuetie and a couple of Cameroonians in Laminou and Tankoua.
