BACK-TO-BACK.. Allwelll Oraeme's second straight MVP fueled Mapua's second straight playoff berth.

For the second straight season, Mapua Institute of Technology found themselves in the Final Four – and for the second straight season, it was Allwell Oraeme who put them on his back and carried them there.

That’s why for the second straight season, Oraeme has been hailed as the league’s Most Valuable Player.

Surging in the second round, the Nigerian powered past Arellano University’s Jiovani Jalalon for the year’s top individual honor. He wound up with 65.1 points – nearly nine points ahead of his runner-up who had 57.5 points.

Oraeme averaged 15.8 points, 19.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.3 blocks through 17 games in the tournament. This, all while lifting the Cardinals to the third-seed in the playoffs where they ultimately fell to the Chiefs.

Runner-up Jalalon averaged 21 points, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 steals in 19 games. He and Arellano are battling San Beda College in the Finals.
