Finals Game 1 on Thursday at the MOA Arena

3:45 PM – San Beda vs Arellano

There will be a new champion in the NCAA 92 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

And the last two teams left standing in the tournament will begin the battle for all the glory on Thursday at the MOA Arena.

On one side is Arellano University who is seeking to make the most of Jiovani Jalalon’s last hoorah for the school’s first-ever championship and on the other is San Beda College who is seeking to reinforce their dynasty with what would be their ninth title in 11 years.

Modern-day rivals Red Lions and Chiefs will duke it out in a best-of-three series to determine who will take the throne vacated by Letran long ago. Game 1 tips off at 3:45 PM.

All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/ncaa.

Jalalon and crew had the luxury of an extra week of rest after making quick work of Mapua in the semifinals. Figuring in their second championship round in the last three years, it will be all systems go for “The Bus Driver” and his bus.

Coming off a more recent morale boost, however, is San Beda who lost their twice-to-beat advantage, but then bounced back mightily to dispose of Perpetual last Tuesday. Giving them even more confidence is that fact that they are a perfect 3-0 against the Chiefs through the tournament.
